We are a congregation committed to engaging every aspect of our community through our ministries.

Women's ministry

The Women’s Ministry prepares women to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and to become disciples who will spread the “Good News” and provide knowledge, mentoring and encouragement to other women, the church family, and the community.

men's ministry

The Men’s Ministry creates opportunities to fellowship, to encourage, and to inspire men and young males to become faithful servants of the Lord in addition to enhancing their knowledge of the Christian faith.

Youth ministry

The Youth Ministry develops fundamental and foundational platforms in the lives of our youth to help them cultivate Christian character, morals, values, and behaviors. Our youth seek to develop their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ, understanding the importance of worship and service to others.

Youth Adult ministry

The Young Adult Ministry strives to provide spiritual and social outreach to young men and women. We promote honorable and spiritual structure to align and live our lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. We seek to be committed to godliness by studying, applying and walking in God’s word through fellowship, discipleship, worship, and outreach.

Sunday School

The Sunday School Ministry builds the faith of each participant through the learning and studying of God’s Holy word. Students are encouraged to engage in conversations that involve God experiences in their personal lives. Through God’s Holy word, the Sunday school lessons empower and equip participants to walk, talk and live by faith and not by sight.

G.e.m.s Ministry

The G.E.M.S. Ministry meets the physical, spiritual and social needs of the senior adults.  The essence of the G.E.M.S. Ministry is to extend and enhance fellowship, encouragement, compassion and outreach.

BURWELL EDUCATION RESOURCE CENTER

The Burwell Educational Resource Center library provides for all ages, the tools for reading, studying, understanding and living in the word of God.

Church history

The Church History ministry preserves and maintain the rich history of the church through oral, written, and pictorial records.

Evangelism

Cary First recognizes that apart from Christ people are lost.  The Evangelism Ministry lifts up Christ by reaching the world with the good news of Jesus Christ and giving ourselves to support the Great Commission.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School embraces a thematic outreach ministry that deepens the faith and knowledge of the children, youth, and adults in the congregation and throughout the communities that will equip them to love, know, serve, and share God better by engaging them in fun-filled, creative experiences. VBS utilize imaginative and modern methods to bring, inspire, build, lead and equip our young people for Jesus.

Vision Statement:

The vision of the Cary First Christian Church Sunday School Department is to have all who would come to be like-minded having the same love and being of one accord through fellowship with one another and with Jesus Christ our Savior.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Sunday School Department at Cary First Christian Church is to build the faith of each participant through the learning and studying of God’s Holy word. To actively engage individuals so that they may develop a passion for God’s word.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Bible Study is to prepare individuals to be educated  disciples of Jesus  Christ through in-depth Biblical studies that emphasize our need for God and one another.

Vision Statement:

To extend our reach to women who have not heard about the glory of  God.  To develop creative ways to attract women  of  all  ages  to the  teachings of Jesus Christ through our actions and words, and let women know they have not been forgotten.  God is just waiting for them to acknowledge him.

Mission Statement:

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Men’s Ministry at Cary First Christian Church is to create opportunities to fellowship, to encourage, and to inspire men and young males to become faithful servants of the Lord in addition to enhancing their knowledge of the Christian faith.

To form a Christ-like reaction to the needs unique to our youth within the church and community, whether it be emotional, spiritual or communal, by providing  supportive venues that will allow them to have a strong base for their faith that enables them to edify  and express God using their own language, actions, and deeds. 

Mission Statement:

Vision Statement:  

To reach our Young Adults and those in the world with the Gospel, to build them  spiritually through biblical and practical teaching in an accepting, loving environment and to help them discover how God wants to use their gifts    for ministry and their lives for reaching and winning lost souls.   Our young adults will recognize that Jesus Christ is our reason for life and will give all praise and thanks to our Savior.

The Young Adult Ministry of Cary First Christian Church strives to provide spiritual and social outreach to young men and women.

Vision Statement: 

To provide a beautiful communication tool to inform about the news and works of Cary First Christian Church and to facilitate connection between the members of the congregation and the community.                                                                                            

Mission Statement:

The Mission of Cary First’s DOVE NEWSLETTER is to engage the church community by highlighting events, celebrating historical moments, and detailing the works of our church ministries.

Vision Statement:   To confirm the foundation and the beginnings of Cary First by keeping track of past, current and future milestones of the church.

Mission Statement:  

The mission of the Church History ministry at Cary First Christian Church is to preserve and  maintain the rich history of the church through oral, written, and  pictorial records.

Scripture:  Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be    ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 1 Timothy 2:15

Vision Statement

To acquire and make available to the children and adults of Cary First Christian Church,  Christian oriented books and materials to help inspire, comfort and affirm our faith.

Mission Statement:  

The mission of the Burwell Educational Resource Center library is to provide for all ages, the tools for reading, studying, understanding and living in the word of God.

Vision Statement: 

To empower VBS participants to be a light that shines beyond our walls as they live lives of service and sharing their experiences with others.

  

Mission Statement: 

The mission focus of Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Cary First embraces a thematic outreach ministry that deepens the faith and knowledge of the children, youth, and adults in the congregation and throughout the communities  that will equip them to love, know, serve, and share God better by engaging them in fun-filled, creative experiences.

Vision Statement:   To reach people for Christ.

Mission Statement:  Cary First recognizes that apart from Christ people are lost.  The mission of the Evangelism Ministry is to lift up Christ by reaching the world with the good news of Jesus Christ and giving ourselves to support the Great Commission.

Scripture:  So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to all generations to come.  Psalms 71:18 (NRSV)

To engage, assist, support and educate in health and well-being.  As we care for our physical being, we will use our wisdom and experiences to inspire and empower those around us in their faith and spiritual growth.
